Biography
I am a singer and composer, trained in Indian classical music. Born in India into a family of singers, I completed my education and music training there before moving to the UK. I am currently based in Wales.
As a professional singer I was awarded an A grade by All India Radio and TV where I regularly presented my compositions and gave concerts on stage and television.
In my compositions I like to explore different styles of music, but with firm roots in Indian classical and folk traditions. I am inspired by works of mystic poets from India and by Western nature poets. A selection of such poems comprise the songs on my CD albums.
I enjoy collaborating with other musicians and currently I sing in a Indo Jazz fusion band called Jadu.
I am deeply interested in Yoga and its profound connection with music. I conduct seminars and workshops on the subject as well as give concerts in UK and abroad.
