Stakeholder Meeting - Galeri, Caernarfon

Galeri, Caernarfon will be the setting for the next Welsh Music Foundation Stakeholder event - an important gathering for anyone involved in the music industry in Wales.
Taking place on Tuesday 20 May, 3pm-5.30pm, this meeting promises to be as informative and varied as ever with guest speakers discussing subjects as diverse as design and songwriting royalties
Gafyn Owen from Design Wales will talk about how music businesses can use the free services the organisation can provide to assist with their design and branding needs. They can help make sense of target markets and the design process; and explore how it can help maximise the impact of the music business. For more information in the meantime visit www.designwales.org.uk.
Gwilym Morus - the Chair representing songwriters from Welsh Music Publishers and Composers Alliance - will be discussing the formation of the new organisation and the current situation regarding PRS allocation in Wales. Gwilym will be able to brief those gathered on the progress made so far and the wider scope of the Alliance in the long term.
Stakeholder Board members Rhys Mwyn and Dafydd Roberts will also talk about their work on the WMF Board and its forthcoming projects and how Stakeholders can get more involved with WMF.
As well as a chance to find out what projects WMF are working on, these events are also a forum for attendees to communicate with WMF and make sure that WMF know about any issues they think are important. Stakeholder meetings are a great opportunity to network with other music businesses and have a customary drink with WMF afterwards!
The meeting will be held in the medium of Welsh but translation facilities will be available. This event is open to anyone working in the music industry in Wales. If you are able to attend please email kieron@welshmusicfoundation.com or call us on 02920 494110.
