ACW & PRSF: Steps to New Music

The Arts Council of Wales (ACW) is the organisation responsible for distributing Welsh Assembly Government and National Lottery funding to the arts in Wales.
The PRS Foundation (PRSF) is the
UK's largest independent funder purely for new music.
What is the aim
of this Scheme?
To support the creation of innovative new music by music creators (composers, songwriters etc) working in collaboration with dance companies for performances taking place in Wales.
What will the Scheme pay for?
The Scheme can pay for all costs involved in creating pieces of music. It will prioritise composers’ fees on the understanding that the dance element will be funded from other sources.
The scheme cannot pay for any retrospective costs, prizes or fund-raising activities, or capital equipment costs.
