Wales Arts International 2008 Music Directory

Would you like to be considered to be part of Wales Arts International's 2008 directory of emerging world music talent from Wales?
The directory will be distributed to promoters and partners worldwide at showcase events such as WOMEX, Celtic Connections and SXSW.
A matching USB stick with tracks by the musicians selected, as well as other useful information about music in Wales will accompany the published directory.
The directory and USB will serve as a guide for international producers, promoters and curators to develop their knowledge about the world music genre in Wales.
The selection panel will comprise of leading Welsh musicians, producers and international broadcasters, lead by Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens.
Criteria for applying:
* You are a musician / group of musicians based in Wales
* Your music should fall under the World music genre and prove to be breaking new ground in terms of developing the art form (whether this is by means of a collaboration, fusion or other means)
* You are ready to embark on an international career, supported by your record label.
* You can provide WAI with the following:
+ A completed application form
+ A downloadable track of your music that can be made available for promotional uses only on an USB stick to accompany the directory (free of copyright)
+ High resolution images of yourself / your band
+ A quote in the press / by a critic about your work
