Working together to support your business
The aim of the Accessing Business Finance Workshops is to introduce entrepreneurs and business owners to the basic principles of accessing business finance and inform them of the financing options available to companies in Wales.
Background
In response to the economic downturn, the Welsh Assembly Government has worked with the major banks in Wales and has produced a '10 step guide' for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) titled, 'Weathering the Storm - Accessing Bank Finance'. Following on from the successful publication of this guide the Assembly are now planning follow on Workshops titled, 'Accessing Business Finance'.
Purpose of the Workshops
The objectives of the workshops are to communicate a number of key messages to participants to ensure they understand the central concepts, principles and practices of business finance and are equipped with sufficient basic knowledge to successfully approach finance organisations, especially, but not exclusively, banks.
How will the Workshops benefit my business?
Using the '10 Step Guide' delegates will receive support and advice on ways to raise appropriate finances from both the private and public sector.
Two pilot events have been arranged:

16 March 2010 - Springboard Innovation Centre, Cwmbran
