Community Music – Making Music Work

Do you run a community based initiative or a community centre?

Do you want to introduce music into your programme of activity?

Community music can have a huge impact on skills, confidence and self-esteem. It can be used in a variety ways, with a diverse range of groups, to provide hugely enjoyable and engaging activities.

Community Music Wales is running a series of free seminars on using music as an engagement tool. The session will cover:

·     Introducing community music to your workplace

·     Ways of integrating music activity into existing programmes 

·     Adapting space for use

·     Your responsibilities as an organisation running such activity

·     Help identify training needs

Dates:

Friday 23 July - Gwynedd – Coleg Menai, Caernarfon 2.00pm  - 4.00pm

Wednesday 14th July – Blaenau Gwent Ebbw Vale Institute, Ebbw Vale 2.00pm – 4.00pm

Thursday 15th July – Powys Drama Centre, Llandrindod  2.00pm – 4.00pm

Friday 16th July – Carmarthenshire St Mary’s Community Church, Carmarthen 2.00pm – 4.00pm  

Wednesday 28th July - Bridgend The Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl  2.00pm – 4.00pm
