Stakeholders
The WMF Stakeholder Group is a made up of business people involved in the business of making music in Wales. It’s a chance for people to have a say in shaping the future of the industry, as well as offering the opportunity for people to make useful business contacts. We aim to make being part of the group useful and informative with Stakeholders given priority in all WMF projects. At present there are around 160 members of the group.
Stakeholder meetings are held once every six months at varying locations throughout Wales. The meetings offer members the chance to discuss current issues from within the music industry, as well as getting to hear guest speakers share their expertise on a wide range of music-related matters. We encourage Stakeholders to come along as they are a good opportunity to network and great chance for WMF to use the group as a sounding board for new ideas.
Emails are sent to Stakeholders outlining industry news and schemes, which could be beneficial to members and their businesses, as well as a regular monthly newsletter with information on industry events, news and dates for the diary. Stakeholders are invited to submit their own news to be included in these mailouts. They also have a dedicated Stakeholder-only area on our website with extra information and research.
To be a stakeholder you have to fulfil the criteria of being based in Wales, are an SME, Micro or start-up business involved in the music industry or provide a specialist service, and earn money from this work or your own IP.
